I just wanted to pass along the excellent story on my new novel “The Easter Confession” that appeared in this morning’s Sunday Republican under the byline of Alan Bisbort. I’m not sure how or why the paper had on hand a 1958 photo of the Monagan family – and really not sure why they chose to use it – but it does show how nicely parents dressed up their kids back in those days. Living in the Delaware Valley, that same storm (and the floods that followed) in 1955 is the yardstick by which all others are measured. It had a devastating and dramatic effect on tourism in the Poconos and industry in Eastern PA; a lot of lives and towns were changed forever.
